lovely B&B

Sally E,
We thoroughly enjoyed our night's stay with Margaret on our coast and castles cycle route.Really delighted to find homemade shortbread in our room and enjoyed the best breakfast on the whole of our trip. Loved the communal breakfast table, a real sociable occasion.

Our Favourite B&B

Returning to Seahouses after a gap of 3 or 4 years was like going home not least because we stayed at Holly Trees. Lovely rooms, excellent breakfasts, Margaret's hospitality and fresh homemade shortbread and bread. What's not to like? Just a 2 minute walk to the village centre too. No wonder we always go back!

Margaret's welcome into her home.

RosalieBoon, Somerset
We stayed for seven nights. Margaret is a gem of a host and invites you into her home with a warm welcome. She loves her guests and immediately makes you feel comfortable. Margaret is very approachable and if there is something you need, (I forgot to bring the plug to my toothbrush charger) she will sort it for you. Our room - Lindisfarne, although not a large room looked over the rear garden and was very quiet. Everything was lovely and clean. Comfortable bed made up with Egyptian sheets. A good shower in the ensuite. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit salad and/or a compote of fruit. Good cooked breakfast and Margaret crisped up our bacon to how we like it. Street parking is ample. At the side of the house there is a small private garden with table and chairs where you can sit outside with your cup of tea or coffee. The B&B is very close, 5 minutes walking, to all the eating places and ideal for walking to catch the boat to the Farne islands.

Superb little B&B

Now and again one comes across a bed and breakfast that has that certain something. Holly Trees is just such a place. From the complimentary home bake in the room to the perfect hot breakfast and the exquisite room. This place has it all. Note: breakfast is served with everyone round one big table. Maybe not for everyone but I loved it.

Lovely B&B

monty831, Keighley, United Kingdom
Me & my partner booked a 2 night stay here. The booking process (over phone) was very easy. We stayed in the double room called Lindisfarne. The room was very nice with a lovely view of the garden. Also worth noting when the sun sets, you get a nice view of the orange/red sky. Margaret met us on arrival and was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. In our room was some shortbread that had been home made. This was replenished on both days of our stay. It was lovely coming back after a long day out to enjoy this with a cup of tea. The room was very clean and had plenty of space to hang/store clothes. The breakfasts were a highlight. The full English was lovely and well cooked. You can choose which items you want the night before. On the second day I opted for poached eggs and smoked salmon. Superb! It should be noted this was served on home made bread. Again this was very nice. This was a really lovely stay and Margaret was great. The B&B is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the centre of Seahouses too so a very good location!
