A gem of a find

815Evertonian, Liverpool, United Kingdom
An excellent four night stay. Sandie is very welcoming and friendly and gave us a wonderful stay. The breakfasts were excellent, a lovely choice and all tastes catered for from selection of cereals, fresh fruit, cooked breakfasts to continental breakfast. Sandie really made sure she set you up for a day's sightseeing. Very clean and comfortable and in a beautiful location with views across the countryside. Would thoroughly recommend as you would find a b and b of this standard hard to beat at such excellent value for money. Thank you Sandie and we hope to return at some point.

Brilliant accommodation

EEJPM, Leeds, England
We stayed here as a family of 5. The directions which Sandie sent in advance made the farmhouse easy to find and we received a warm welcome. We had the two first floor rooms therefore slept as a 3 and a 2. Ash can easily sleep 4 though. Both rooms were very spacious with full size en-suite bathrooms. The rooms were spotless and the beds were amazingly comfortable with high quality bedding and towels. There is a lounge for guests to enjoy upstairs too so we were able to put the children to bed and sit in the lounge area rather than having to go to sleep when the children did! The hospitality tray was lovely and the views from the farmhouse were outstanding. Sandie was a lovely host with lots of helpful information about the area. The breakfast was delicious, I have never seen my children eat so much!! Freshly cooked creamy porridge, full English breakfast, fresh croissants and plentiful fruit juice, tea and coffee. And a table of fruit, cereal and yoghurt. It was all superb. The accommodation is very well situated for Hadrian's Wall. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and hope to return next year.

Great place in Beautiful surrounding countryside

Andrea F, Weybridge, United Kingdom
We stayed two nights here whilst visiting friends who live in Hexham. We had the ground floor double room (king size bed), which was very spacious and comfortable (and very wheel chair friendly). The views from our bedroom windows over the surrounding countryside were amazing. It is blissfully quiet. The full English breakfast was delicious, and there was also a selection of fruit, cereal etc on the side. Sandy is an excellent hostess! I would thoroughly recommend this place

Four nights of complete relaxation in lovely location. Great accommodation in a superbly converted stone barn. Sandie, who runs it, is a treasure. She was so attentive to all our needs. One of our best holiday choices!

Lovely Sheep Farm in Stunning Countryside

uffish, Winston-Salem, NC
We were a group of three American ladies traveling through the North, and we loved staying here for three nights! Our room was a reasonable size, and breakfast was very good. It was so wonderful to feel like were were a real part of the countryside we were driving through. It was the perfect base for a day at Roman sites on Hadrian's Wall and a day in the charming town of Hexham. Our hostess Sandie was very welcoming and helped us out with recommendations and maps, and we are happy to have been a part of her life at Carr Edge even briefly.
