Fantastic few days at Bow House!

We stayed at Bow House for my 40th birthday and it was perfect! Beverley and David were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. There was a great selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and brandy for a nightcap. The breakfasts were fantastic and the food locally sourced, there was fruit, cereal, pastries and hot breakfast options. Beverley & David we’re great advising us where to visit and where to eat. It was so nice to be asked how your day had been and the birthday treat was a very nice touch. We have never been looked after so well. Thank you for such a lovely stay, we would definitely stay again and will recommend you to our friends and family 😊

A very enjoyable stay. Very welcoming and friendly. Spotlessly clean, and cosy. So many extras were included, even beer in the fridge. Excellent breakfast, local produce. Great location, 2 minutes walk from pubs, restaurants and shops. David and Bev couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Cannot begin to describe the lovely time I had here. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spotless. There is great attention to detail..soaps and shower shampoo products, the tooth mugs hygienically sealed..plenty of fluffy towels, comfortable chairs or a sofa. My room had a decking/balcony area looking out over the pretty town. The building is handily centrally located in town but in a very quiet street. So peace and quiet enjoyed in my room or on the balcony with coffee and a paper. .or one of the many interesting books and maps from the shelves in the living/dining room. The breakfast was excellent and the produce is locally sourced. Best of all is the hospitality of the owners David and Beverley who were so kind and made this a home from home. I left something behind and they posted it on to me..nothing was too much trouble. This is more like a boutique hotel than a common or garden b and b and taps into the growing market for discerning people who want the cosiness of a b and b but want something a bit more special than the usual fare...we are all a bit more sophisticated and travelled these days and expect good service and impeccable surroundings. This place ticks all the boxes. A special touch of luxury which also make ages to feel like a home from home. I was in Northumberland for my son's wedding and Bow House was the icing on the wedding cake of a special time. As it is central I was able to visit many of Alnwick's attractions. It is great for walkers..there were some walking parties there also. We were all agreed this is the best b and b we have visited. My only regrets? Having to say goodbye ..but I hope it is only "Au revoir"

andrew k,
Good size room with sofa (in some rooms there are two easy chairs instead); excellent breakfast with lots of choice; friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent location, with shops, cafes and good restaurants within a few yards.
