What a gem!

Lincsgal1980, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Just spent a wonderful weekend here with my friend (husbands left at home!). We had the Crecy room as a twin and it was a even had a private terrace with seating. There was everything that you could want, including sherry! It was immaculately clean, with David the host being most attentive and helpful. (He even organised and booked our meal for the Friday night for us at the Treehouse restaurant..another fantastic experience!). It was very central, and we got a complimentary parking sticker for our visit to enable us to park without any problems. The breakfast was amazing, with, what both of us agreed, was the best fruit salad we have ever had! We intend to visit the area again, and when we do, we will book here again. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this establishment.

Fabulous service

We were visiting Alnwick for our wedding location and had the pleasure of staying at this excellent B & B. We highly recommend Bows House, they could not have been more welcoming. The room was clean & lovely and they had great little touches that make all the difference. We will be recommending Bows House for our guests to stay in. Gemma & Paul

Hearty Northumbrian Breakfast

Many thanks to Beverly and David for looking after us so well on our short, two day visit to Alnwick. The fresh fruit salad and hearty Northumbrian breakfast set us up for the day. We were also treated to delicious pastries, tots of sherry and refreshing cold beers! Our cosy room was really clean and comfy, we highly recommend Bow House and we hope to return one day.

Why cannot all B&B's be this good?

Writing this review is easy: I just reiterate what all the other reviewers have said. We stayed on a stop- over to a wedding in Edinburgh. When we told my sister in law we stayed in Alnwick she said "you should have told us, we know a great little B&B there'. Never before have we been offered complimentary beer nor been trusted not to steal the genuine wooden coat hangers! The breakfast was probably the best I have ever experienced. I cannot rate this place highly enough.

First class!

A delightful welcome with coffee and cake set the tone for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they seem to have thought of every detail, even including ear plugs in the event the (gentle and soothing) clock chime from the church next door bothered our sleep. A wonderful array of 'Bari' teas in the room, which was spotlessly clean and beautfully presented. A very spacious en-suite wih a lovely hot shower and pretty toiletries too. Breakfasts are equally well thought out. I don't usually eat in the morning but found my fruit salad an absolute treat. My husband enjoyed his porridge and poached eggs too! From the looks of it, the food other guests were eating looked scrumptious and a great start to anyone's day - locally sourced with care too. David and Beverley are warm and friendly folk and we feel their consistently high scores on Trip Advisor are richly deserved. Highly recommended and lovely central location in Alnwick.
