The Beach House is family run and is praised for its relaxed "home from home" atmosphere, which the owners, Malcolm and Hazel, have striven to create. In its idyllic location, the Beach House is set back about 60metres from one of the most beautiful stretches of heritage coastline that Northumberland has to offer. The golden sands stretch to the neighbouring village of Bamburgh and beyond, where one of the most magnificent castles in England can be explored.

The Beach House has proved over the years to be the place to stay if you love walking. bird watching, photography etc, the list is endless, or just a place to relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery which begins at the Beach House and continues in every direction for miles upon miles of unspoilt coast line and countryside which must be one of the best if not THE best in England.

The lounge, dining room and bar have panoramic views of the Farne Islands, situated 3 miles out to sea. The Farnes are now a nature reserve, home to a large seal colony and many different species of seabirds including puffins, cormorants and oyster catchers. However they will always be famous for their historic past, once being a sanctuary for St Cuthbert, and more recently for the heroic efforts of Grace Darling in her bid to save the survivors from the Forfarshire steamship. With boat trips available from the local harbour hundreds of visitors return year after year to enjoy the many delights to which this group of no fewer than 28 islands have to offer.

Evening meal is offered to groups, the disabled and the elderly who are unable to walk the 5mins into the village centre where there is a good choice of Restaurants.

A file containing the menus of these Restaurants is available in the Beach House Lobby.

Our staff are very approachable and will see to all your needs, making your stay relaxing & enjoyable.

Enjoy the freedom and space this County has to offer and leave all those worries and stresses behind. Simple.

Rising damp and noisy toilet

Chantal C, leicester
I stayed at this hotel in May 2016 for 2 nights. The room I had was a single room on the ground floor with a window overlooking the car park at the side. The bed was comfortable but the room was very basic. Behind the entrance door, the plaster on the wall was wet and falling off. I took photographs and sent them to the owner advising them that it was not healthy to sleep in a bedroom with an obvious damp problem. I also advised them that several times a night I was woken up by the strange noises that the toilet made. I did not even receive an apology. I was with a group of friends and we found one of the waitresses to be quite rude to one of us. The waitress thought it was funny. We hadn't booked into fawlty towers but it felt like we had. Overall, this could be an ok place to stay if it's just for one or two nights, but wouldn't recommend any longer. Things may have changed for the better but with the owner ignoring my emails I wouldn't know

Basic holel with a view to die for

AdrianDD, Bicester
This hotel is what it is a simple place to rest your head and have a great breakfast. But the view out to the Farne Islands is to die for! From the outside this place is not much to look at but inside the guest lounge and breakfast rooms and well decorated, spotless and simply styled. The bedrooms are similar. Clean, freshly decorated with a new bathroom. I had a single room while others had twin rooms in our group. We were on a weekend dive trip around the Farne Islands. My single room had no view, actually no window at all unless you counted the velux window high up. But for a dive trip accommodation this was perfect. Breakfast when you wanted it, and a clean, warm bedroom to rest you head.

Dive trip

Tony S,
Rooms Clean, Staff very friendly, particularly Davy and Jenny, who were front of house when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of veggie and full english and lots of variation. The bar, also great, with draught lager and bitter and cheaper prices than the local pubs. Really enjoyed our stay here, there were 16 of us from a dive club and we found the whole thing very hospitable. There is a drying room for your wet gear, but it is tiny and not big enough for large groups or drysuits/heavy items, its more for thermals and maybe walking gear. Washing line runs up the edge of the car parking area at the back but if youre diving, you probably need your gear in a waterproof bag or box and keep as much on the boat as you can. There is ample parking at the side/back of the building and the rooms are in good state of repair/modern. Its location is a 2 minute walk from the main drag in seahouses. Would definitely recommend this hotel, although it's proper hotel prices as opposed to B&B and we (wife and I) would definitely stay here again. Nothing seemed a problem to the staff.
